This website was created to allow easier access to information predominantly found within the Archives of the New Brunswick Free Public Library. Our local history collection focuses on items relating to New Brunswick and Middlesex County: Items include books, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, slides, microfilm, city directories, photographs, post cards, maps, manuscripts, and letters. Our goal with this site is to provide an online means to search the content of some of these holdings. This site is a work in progress, so please be patient as we develop this research tool.

Please find links to available material within the left navigation bar. These include finding aids for collections we have, as well as entire sites of information about certain subjects.

Don't forget to check out our Local History page on the library's main site.

Our reference staff can assist with general research requests and will guide patrons to possible resources so they can do their own searching. Please call 732-745-5108 x20 or email to reference@nbfpl.org if you have a question.
